The Miscellaneous Oral History Transcripts consists of 41 transcriptions oral interviews of 49 Watauga County, North Carolina residents. Interviews were conducted in 1973 and 1974. Interviewees discuss folkways such as food and clothings, church participation, education, personal history, holiday traditions, wedding customs, local history, race relations, moonshining, and the Great Depression. The participants include influential Boone residents, natives of the Tamarack community (A.K.A. Pottertown), and African-Americans.
